This Privacy Policy explains what information Sparky AI (“we,” “us”) collects through asksparkyai.com and how we use it. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Email & name you give us. When you request a free resource (such as the IBEW Ranking Cheat Sheet), take the free practice test, or buy a course, we collect the email address and any name you provide so we can deliver the resource, send your purchase access link, and send related prep emails.
• Phone number (optional). If you choose to opt in on the practice-test results page, we collect your phone number and a record of your consent so that we and our training-program partners can contact you about apprenticeship training. This is optional and is not required to use the free test or buy anything.
• Approximate location. We derive an approximate city, region, and country from your IP address to understand where our users are and to match partner programs by area.
• Purchase information. When you buy a course, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your email, the product purchased, and a payment confirmation. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data directly under its own security and privacy terms.
• Usage & analytics data. We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the site and app are used (pages viewed, buttons clicked, conversion steps). This may include a device/anonymous identifier, approximate location, and event data. We use it in aggregate to improve the product.

How we use your information

• To deliver the resources, courses, and access links you request.
• To send prep emails and product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To process and support course purchases and refunds.
• To measure and improve the site, the app, and our courses.

Third-party processors

We share the minimum necessary data with service providers that help us run the business:

• Stripe — payment processing for course purchases.
• Resend — sending transactional and prep emails.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Supabase — secure storage of purchase records.
• Vercel — website hosting.

Training-program partners. If you opt in by submitting your phone number on the practice-test results page, we may share your contact information (name, email, phone, approximate location, and practice-test results) with electrical training and apprenticeship program partners, who may contact you — including by phone call or text — about their programs. Under some state laws (including California), this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not share your phone number with partners unless you opt in, and you can opt out at any time (see below).

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information with training-program partners at any time. Email asksparkyai@gmail.com with the subject “Do Not Sell My Info” and the email or phone number you used, and we will remove you from partner sharing.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or request that we delete your information by emailing asksparkyai@gmail.com.
